Heading To My Hometown In July

I left Akron, Ohio in 1977 coming to California, like so many chasing a dream. I'm thankful that my dream didn't turn into a nightmare.

What's interesting is since SWITCH originally got together in December/1976 and recorded our records, we've NEVER played Akron, Ohio. Coming up as a young performer I played all over Akron, SWITCH has performed near Akron, in Cleveland, Dayton, Cincinnati, but not specifically Akron. So finally after all these years SWITCH will be performing in Akron, Ohio on July 24,2011.

The details are still being worked out but it's finally going to happen. Eddie Fluellen and myself are from Akron, so we're both looking forward to seeing some people that we haven't seen in a while and Derrick Organ, our drummer is from Cleveland, Ohio, it will be a homecoming for the 3 of us. Greg Williams, who started SWITCH used to live in Akron, I met him when I was 16 years old, so he'll be close to home. After the concert he's looking forward to going to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he's from to visit for a while.

I'm sure we're going to have a great time. My oldest sister and my nieces are very excited, I haven't seen them since 2008. I'll tell you more about the show, after it happens, but it's official, SWITCH is coming to Akron, Ohio.
