WELCOME

Being in the entertainment industry I'm constantly asked, "Who are you working with?", OR "What is your current project?"
So I decided to start a simple BLOG that answer those questions.

2 Great Weekends

May 21,22, 2011 I performed with Sheena Easton at the SouthPoint Hotel Showroom. This will make our 7th appearance at the SouthPoint Showroom. Sheena had a 3-year contract and we performed their twice a year. That contract ended 2010 and now we're back again.

The ShowRoom is a nice 400 seater theatre and no matter where you sit you get a great view and it always sounds good. Sheena decided to change up the show a little bit and put a couple of songs from her "No Strings" album and it was received quite well. We were about at full capacity for both nights and what has become consistent with Sheena's performances we received a standing ovation at the end of the night.

The following weekend, May 27, 28, 2011 we performed at the Grand Del Mar Resort in San Diego, specifically Club M. This place is fabulous to say the least.

From top to bottom, the hotel staff, everything is quite exquisite. Club M is a more intimate room that seats about 146 people. The stage is a lot smaller, but we made it work. Again both shows we left with a standing ovation. Even though that had become the norm, you never want to take that for granted, it's always appreciated.

I got to see some friends that I haven't seen in Vegas for almost 30 years and I enjoyed their company. In San Diego also got to see some friends that I haven't seen in sometime. We re-connected about 2 years ago, but prior to that I hadn't seen them in 25 years.

The band always teases me about having friends at the performances, they say no matter where we are in the world, it seems like Phillip knows someone. It's become somewhat of a joke. But over the years I've developed quite a few relationships, and even though we're not in touch all of the time it's nice to get together even for a little bit at a show and reminisce.

So I definitely enjoyed the last "2 Great Weekends"

Until Next Time - Phillip
