WELCOME

Being in the entertainment industry I'm constantly asked, "Who are you working with?", OR "What is your current project?"
So I decided to start a simple BLOG that answer those questions.

Parx Casino / Mohegan Sun

It was a hectic week. I had 2 shows with Sheena Easton, one at the Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA and the 2nd show at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.

First of all let me say that both shows went very well. Sheena's shows have a consistency about them that no matter where we perform the audience enjoys the performances and they show their appreciation by giving us a standing ovation.

We flew in on Thursday August 25, but our plane was delayed for about 5 hours because of a mechanical issue. We were supposed to land in Philly about 11:30 pm, Thursday night, instead we landed about 5am Friday morning, the day of the show. Needless to say we were a tired bunch of folks.

We pretty much slept until it was time for soundcheck and rehearsal and getting some food. But the highlight for me after the show was hanging with some friends and meeting more friends. There was a guy in the audience with a SWITCH Tee-Shirt and my friend Terri, text me to let me know he was in the audience. We all met afterwards and enjoyed a great time talking about the performance, SWITCH and taking some pictures and enjoying some nice memories.

Leaving Philly the next day, we had to worry about Hurricane Irene, so our flight was delayed again, but this time only for a short while, WHEW! We made it home safely and avoided the storm.

On Monday we flew back out to go to the Mohegan Sun. (I know I thought the same thing, why didn't we just stay back in that area until we played the Mohegan Sun? - MOVING ON!) Our performance was on Tuesday August 30th. This is the 5th time that we've been back to the Mohegan. You can read about our last performance at the Mohegan Sun on the September 3, 2010 BLOG post.

The Wolf Den had a decent crowd, especially considering what the weather had just done to that area. Another highlight for me though was hanging out with my cousin Sabrina, who I had not seen in close to 30 years. We grew up together in Akron, Ohio and we've been in touch on Facebook, but it was nice walking down memory lane and getting caught up with each others' lives.

It was a hectic week, but enjoyed the performances and I always enjoy hanging with some old friends and getting to know some new ones. I just hope the next time we come to the Parx Casino and/or the Mohegan Sun it's without any Hurricanes on the horizon.

Until Next Time - Phillip
