Katie Belle's - A Memorable Experience

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I heard that I would be performing with Sheena Easton at a place called Katie Belle's in The Villages, Florida. The Villages is a retirement CITY, not community. It currently has about 80,000 residents that has a 50-mile radius. This is a great place and probably one of the 'best kept secrets' in Florida.

Katie Belle's is one of the many Venue's they have on the property that has live entertainment. It seats about 330 people. They serve dinner and the people watch a show. The inside reminds you more of the old western saloon days, but it's a fabulous place. We had 2 shows, a 5:00 pm performance and an 8:30 performance. Both shows received a 'standing ovation' and they mentioned that we would be back, which is a good thing.

Sheena changed up the show some, there are a couple of songs that we will no longer be doing on our set. Katie Belle's was one of the first places that we 'tested' the new show and as I said standing ovations on both of the performances.

We'll be leaving on Friday February 4, 2011 to Canada, weather permitting, doing the same show, looking to see how this show is received by the Canadians.

The picture to the left is the inside of Katie Belle's and as mentioned, it reminds me of the old western Saloon days. But don't let that fool you. Katie Belle's is very up to date with the latest technology. The theme may be 'old west', but the Venue, Katie Belle's is definitely a 'memorable experience'.
