This past weekend, July 31st, I performed with Sheena Easton for two shows at the Mid-State Fair up in Paso Robles, CA. Combined attendance for both shows was about 2,800 or so. We did 2 - 1 hour shows and both went well.
The weather is usually pretty hot this time of year, but it was a great evening for a concert. On the 2nd show, Dave Hart, who is a great guitar player, during his solo decided to stop and drink a Red Bull and then finish his solo, you never know what to expect from Dave :-)
A few of the comments from the audience was, "this was one of the best shows we've seen at the Mid-State Fair". We heard other comments about Earl Campbell, Sheena's drummer talking about how much they enjoyed his solo(s). Others mentioned how much they enjoyed the duets that Sheena & I do together on the show. We do a total of 3, and the new Burt Bacharach Medley that we just introduced in Japan is becoming one of the favorites.
We have a great time performing together and it comes across on the stage.
Until next time - Phillip
