On Tuesday night July 20, 2010, we finished our 8th show in Tokyo at Billboard Live. The shows were received very well. Combined attendance for the 8 shows in Osaka and Tokyo was over 1,700. It was a great time! The people were asking, "when are you coming back" and hopefully we'll be able to get back again to Japan sometime in 2011.
On our 8th show when Sheena & I were finishing "You Got The Look", she says that she likes the 'funky Phillip', but prefers the more 'romantic Phillip'. She usually says something to that effect right before we go into "We Got Tonight". But having some fun I decided to look out into the audience and shout 'FUNKY PHILLIP'; the audience started laughing, Sheena & I started laughing and it took a minute for both of us to get our composure. I finally said to the audience, 'let's all take a deep breath' and they did and we were able to continue with 'romantic Phillip' so that we could sing "We Got Tonight". 'FUNKY PHILLIP' will go down as one of the classic moments of a Sheena Easton performance.
We left Tokyo on July 21st at 4:00 pm and arrived back in LA on July 21st at 10:40 am, talk about time travel.
We're now getting ready for our next show in Paso Robles on July 31st at the Mid-State Fair.
